This role is central to how Pattrn works. You will act as a trusted client partner, a reliable leader for teams, and a contributor to the growth of our Product and Programme Management practice.

We expect this role to operate at Lead level, with scope to appoint at Principal or Director level for candidates bringing broader experience and impact.

Core responsibilities

Product Management

Act as a trusted expert on customer experience and CX strategy, helping clients define problems, set direction, and make confident strategic decisions. You will lead a design-led approach, working closely with design teams and client stakeholders to guide work from early problem definition through to delivery.

Programme management

Plan, lead, and manage complex digital programmes from early shaping through to delivery, ensuring clarity, pace and quality throughout. You will anticipate and manage risks, dependencies, and governance, supporting timely and confident decision making across teams.

Client relationship management

Build and own strong senior client relationships, acting as a trusted partner across programmes. You will lead communication, planning and decision forums, representing Pattrn with credibility, care and sound judgement in complex stakeholder environments.

Design and UX judgement

Work closely with design teams to support strong UX thinking and high quality design outcomes. You will apply judgement to design decisions and trade-offs, ensuring the strategic customer and business intent is clearly articulated and carried through delivery.

Commercial and financial management

Own scoping, estimation and proposals through to sign off, alongside programme budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting. You will ensure work is delivered in a commercially sustainable and transparent way.

Leadership

Provide clear leadership across programmes, setting expectations for quality, behaviour, and delivery. You will support and mentor others within the Product and Programme Management team and contribute to evolving standards and ways of working across the practice.
